Homemade Elderberry Syrup

Servings: 750 ml Bottle

Ingredients

  • 4 Cup Filtered Water
  • 1 Cup Elderberries (I used dried)
  • 2 Tbsp Ginger Powder (Or fresh root)
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Cloves (Or ground)
  • 1 piece Anise Star (Optional)
  • 1 Cup Honey (Save to the side until the end)

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a stock pot.
  • Bring to a simmer for 45 minutes to an hour, stirring occasionally.
  • Let cool for 15 minutes before adding the honey.
  • Whisk in honey until dissolved.
  • Strain into a bowl and pour into glass vessel of your choice.
  • Store in fridge up to a month or keep on the counter for quick consumption.

Children 1+ and above: Preventative = 1 tsp Daily   If sick = 4-5 tsp Daily
Adults: Preventative = 1 Tbsp Daily    If sick = 4-5 Tbsp Daily
